Sweet little Kate turned 6 this year. Since our house is still a mess from the move we weren't in a position to have a friend party (even though we normally would for her 6th birthday.) Instead we went to Pirate Cove Pizza the night before her birthday (since it was on Sunday.) In that picture they are all acting like pirates. Alison has a hook and Kate is saying "Aaaarg." We then had cake and ice cream on her actually birthday. She chose her cake decorations. Her theme was princesses and no princess cake would be complete without including those from Mario. Too bad we live too far from her talented aunts (Mimi and Adrienne) who we are used to have making our cakes. Our poor kids will just have to make do with a frosted cake in a pan with sprinkles.
